We are finally to everyone’s favorite time of year, Harvest!  We have been hearing there are plenty of bushels in the fields this year. We know that the grain prices are not where everyone wants them to be and fertilizer is expensive, but there are some options to make your dollar go further for fertility. Ask your agronomist about ways to help make your operation the most profitable it can be during these times. Cutting inputs after a high yielding year can cost you more in the long run.

The outlook looks like fertilizer is only going to be more expensive in the spring so fall spreading and prepaying now could really pay off this year.

Grid sampling and variable rate spreading can also save money by putting the fertilizer where it needs it and dialing back where it does not.
