Markets 4/6

The chatter this week has been about President Trump’s proposals for new tariffs on China. It sent the soybean market into a spiral on Wednesday but the market mostly recovered. On the opposite spectrum, the Argentina soybean production is estimated at 34% below last year’s crop.

Monsanto stated that corn seed sales are down over 6% from last year while the USDA report last week estimated corn acres down 2.3%.

April Corn was down 1 for the week closing at 3.24. New crop up 1 at 3.44. April beans were down 5 to 9.46. With new crop down 7 settling at 9.50. All prices in the elevator.
